24 Hours

So much stopped yesterday at this time, it hardly feels like it has been 24 hours ago. A full day since my Nikki (almost 17)  had finished her breakfast and her brother's, hit the water bowl and had just settled in for her morning cleaning and nap when she was struck with a massive seizure and passed away.

Everything that was to take place yesterday did not, and it was replaced with acute grieving--

This morning my heart aches still, and thoughts of things I wanted to share this week on my blog are just not on top.

They will begin to bubble up soon, but til then I just wanted to share a couple of pictures of my girly - girl.

  1. Oh Rose....such a sweet thing, Nikki. She was as lucky to be your pal in life as you were to be hers.

  6. They are not only pets but friends and my heart still aches for my big boy who died 3 years ago. They add so much to our lives. We have rescued a feral that someone dumped and she is a sweetie. It helps with the void. My thoughts are with you.

  8. Sometimes there aren't any words. Please know that other hearts understand what you are going through, and how special it is to share your life with a cat or dog. Sending love to Nikki's brother, too.
