Build It & They Will Come

Life is about change, and change is upon me.

With a new book being printed and a whole month at home what do I do....

The list is long, but it also includes taking time to relaunch my on-line self. This has been a long time coming and I am really excited that I have a chance to re-build my blog.

So if you have clicked here: expect to see some really big changes and tons of fun happenings as I work out the recipe ' for our flight plans'.

  2. Some of us lucky folks have taken classes with Rose Hughes, art quilter, author and teacher of Fast Pieced Appliqué -- and my incredibly talented little sister. This is a heads up to you and all you other fabric artists, that she is coming to show her quilts for first Friday opening in September, at the Quilt Shop on Vashon Island, and to hold a class here the following weekend.

She's coming up for the opening, so please come by, meet her and say hello. Feel free to bring some of your new work to show her-- her third book comes out in November, and you never know what she'll put in the next one!

Rose is considered one of the best teachers in the country, and I am so happy she's been invited to my hometown.

  9. I hope I can learn to blog. I like this site. It is easy to read. Still cannot read those crazy "I'm not a computer" codes. Will miss not having you in town, but will plan to follow you to new location for classes and tour of the art community. Will see you before you go. Need help sorting fabric?

  10. What do I want to see for a seed of inspiration? I think Scotland & Ireland! After dry SoCal, some GREEN sounds awfully good....

  11. What would stimulate my creativity? A workshop with Rose! Congrats on your success and new home. So sorry I missed you while you were in California. Now, I will have to travel to Kentucky to see you!

  12. Rose,
This is a small, non-urgent matter. I know you are moving and I really didn't want to bother you until I realized this is important feedback about your new website. I attempted to buy a pattern, Winter Wonder, by PDF file. I paid by credit card and got a receipt but there was no link to the PDF file. Help??
